Not really needed, used for the new 'area_illumination' light modifier.
And looks great with that. I haven't tried to render it in 3.6, yet.
I should make a faster material/texture for the introduction, then hint at better settings.
Good idea.
Like your "detail settings" with the RawScript.
Was trying to duplicate the picture that came with Lego set. I have seen a product photographer use a drop cloth. Flat on the table, then held up at the back.
Good adaption for 3D then.
I still think there are some technical issues with the way i've setup the scene. Most noteably, it is not practical to cut/paste into different scenes or merge scenes. I have used the raw_script property to re-declare many parts and textures, after copy/paste the names have changed and the script needs to be fixed to point to the new name.
For that this "material-reference-feature" would be a great solution, which will come sometime.
Can't wait to play with all these features.
Some of what i've done can be reworked to use layers to toggle on/off level of details.
But it's nice to change just one setting at the end (in this case in the RawScript or pov-file), then to have to manipulate a lot in the scene itself.
The quest continues![]()
I wonder where it leads to.
