Locked layer, Camera, Fovx

Postby StephenS on Mon Feb 15, 2010 2:48 pm

When a camera is on a locked layer, and is the active scene render camera, all edit boxes are grayed out except "Layer"(good).
When a camera is on a locked layer, and is not the active scene render camer, why is Fovx still editable :?

The locked layer does not stop the camera from being edited with the mouse in the Perspective view. I would prefer the mouse icon the change to a closed lock when over the perspective view, and no changes allowed.

I can't change the camera on the locked layer in Perspective view, but I experienced that editable Fovx, too.
But clicking at another object in the scene and then at the camera on the locked layer makes Fovx uneditable.
But when you have two cameras at two different and locked layers and they aren't scene render cameras either and you click at one of them and immediately at the other, then Fovx is editable again...

I ment to say, click on the one of the 7 camera icons and then click/drag in the perspective view, not the little nodes from the control points manipulator.

Update:
If I go from a locked camera to a second locked camera, same or different locked layer, I get this problem (editable Fovx).

Ah, I see. :)
But this does only happen with a 'locked' camera, which is the scene render camera at the same time, doesn't it?

It should not - I've just fixed it.

Yep. I know, it is not good - and it is not alone: currently one can add/remove properties and children to/from a locked object.
I reworking the layer system.

Hugo.
